Prerna Lakshya App

Prerna Lakshya App is a product of the Department of School Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh (India) under Mission Prerna. The application can be used by teachers/ parents/ guardians to test a student’s learning levels against competencies of the Prerna Lakshya (Class 1-5). These competencies specifically focus on foundational learning skills, including the student’s ability to read with a minimum WCPM (words correct per minute), read with comprehension, and solve math problems. In order to use the application, simply select the class and subject(s) you wish to test the child on, and begin the test! After completing the test, students who have achieved their class relevant Prerna Lakshya competencies are celebrated as Prerak Balak/ Balika. In case the student has not achieved the Lakshya competency, they are encouraged to continue practising and take the test again! NOTE: This application requires internet connectivity during the first time the application is run. After that internet connectivity is optional, however connecting to the internet is recommended for increasing the number of test questions. This application requires the Read Along (Bolo) Application to be installed on the same phone (relevant for Class 1-3 Language, Class 1 Math). Once installed, the language must be changed to ‘Hindi’ and the Partner Code ‘upprerna’ must be added (using top left hand menu button).
